Home Groups

If you were to take a snapshot of your relationship with Christ, where might you find yourself on your journey of faith?

Starting Out

You may be at the beginning of your journey, and wanting to explore the claims of Christianity further. You may value an opportunity to ask questions and to see what it means to set out on the journey. You may be gaining a better understanding of Christ and the Christian gospel but haven't yet entered into a personal relationship with Jesus. You may still be investigating Christianity, and seeking the truth.

If this is you, then you might prefer to join the Alpha course, further details of which can be found by clicking here.

Somewhere Along the Road

However, you may have been on the journey of faith for some time. You have a personal relationship with Jesus, and you want to grow further in your understanding of the Christian faith and of what it means to walk with God. You want to meet with others for worship, to look at God's word, and to make friends with others on the same spiritual journey.

If this is you, then joining a home group could be of benefit to you...

What is a home group?

A home group is, quite simply, a small group of people who want to find out more about how God works in our lives today, meeting together in the relaxed atmosphere of a home. They last about two hours, including time for refreshments and a chat.

What happens?

With the help of a leader to guide the discussion, we look at a passage (or passages) from the Bible and, talking, listening and learning together, consider some questions which help us to relate the Bible to our everyday lives.

We pray about what we’ve learnt, we pray for each other, and we pray for the world around us.

We are free to contribute as much or as little as we want to contribute.

Home groups are a great way to help us along in our church’s aim to love God, to love one another, and to love our neighbours.

What not give it a try?

You would be welcomed into any of the home groups—why not give it a go?

When and where?

We generally meet on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings during school term times. If you live in the area and would be interested in joining a home group, then please enquire using the form you can find by clicking here.

If you are aged 11 - 18 and would like to know more about our youth home group "BOING", then please click here.
