Regular Pattern of Worship

   Sunday 10.45am Family Worship
   Sunday 6.30pm Evening Prayer
   Friday 12.15pm Holy Communion

These are the usual patterns of worship. However, the format may vary according to the season with special and/or additional services to celebrate festivals like Easter, Christmas, Harvest, Saint's days, etc. Details of these are placed on the calendar at this website. You can find them in the section showing what's on this month by clicking here.

Please do join us. Everyone is free to join in worship. We love to see new faces and you can be sure of a friendly welcome. Details about the styles of worship used in our regular services are below...

Family Worship: 10.45am Sunday
There are three types of family worship on Sunday mornings:

1st Sunday
A family service of Holy Communion using modern wording with audiovisual media and a mixture of traditional and up-to-date worship music. Usually lasts about an hour and a quarter. The Sunday School, "SALT", runs during part of the service, where all children are welcome. After the service tea and coffee are served at the back of church.

2nd, 4th and 5th Sundays
A family service that includes Holy Communion and usually lasts about an hour and a quarter. It is a modern service including hymns, prayers, a sermon, and Holy Communion. The Sunday School, "SALT", runs during part of the service, where all children are welcome. After the service tea and coffee are served at the back of church.

3rd Sunday
This shorter family service lasts about an hour, and does not include communion. There is no Sunday School (SALT) on these Sundays. Instead the children from SALT play an active part in the service itself, and so the whole theme is more child orientated. After the service tea and coffee are served in the lounge at the back of church.

Evening Prayer: 6.30pm Sunday
We join each week with another of the churches in the Eccles Team Ministry, Christ Church (Patricroft). This joint evening prayer service is usually held in their church building on Liverpool Road. Once a month - usually at the end of the month this service is one of Celebration Praise - a more lively service of modern music and praise. If you are not sure where Christ Church is, you can see a map showing the location at Christ Church's own website. Go there by clicking here.

Holy Communion: 12.15pm Friday

This is a quiet communion service held in St Andrew's every Friday lunchtime and lasting about half an hour. Soup and toast, coffee/tea and cakes are available before and afterwards at the Café in the Church.

Private Prayer
St Andrew's is open to all every weekday morning, from 8.15am until 9.15am, for private prayer.
